Another week, another Wild Camp… This time we set off from Bowden Bridge near Hayfield and made our way up to Sandy Heys on Kinder Scout. We were extremely lucky with the weather and witnessed another great sunset. Sandy Heys is a very interesting spot, it has an important significance for the Aetherius Society and if you’d like to find out more about them you can head to http://www.aetherius.org. The following morning we headed along the western edge of Kinder to Kinder Low before heading back down via Kinder Low End. I think I’ll just let the pictures and video do the talking on this one, as you will see it really was glorious out in the Peak District.

Hey Dean, wild camped up at that same spot recently. Yes great sunset. Question for you: At night are all those lights Manchester?

Hi Adi, it’s a really great spot to camp isn’t it. Pretty much all the lights you could see towards the west would have been Manchester/Stockport etc. we sat watching the planes fly in to the airport on our night there. Thanks for taking the time to comment

This looks a cool route. Do you have a gpx file for your walk? or do you know the OS grid ref for where you camped. Many thanks.
